The Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Group of Manufacturers Association of Nigeria, otherwise known as PMG-MAN is an arm of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN). PMG-MAN was inaugurated in 1983. It was launched by the Federal Minister of Health on the 24th October, 1984 with twenty (20) foundation members.
Membership is open to any Pharmaceutical company established in the Federation that has and utilizes local manufacturing facilities for the production of drugs and medicines from local and or imported raw materials. Members before admission shall uphold the tenet of Good Manufacturing Practices must satisfy the standard of the Association after necessary inspection.
Intending members shall have been a member of MAN and duly registered by PCN and NAFDAC. Appropriate registration fees, annual subscription and levies must have been paid by the intending member.
GOOD MANUFACTURING PRACTICE (GMP): PMG-MAN promotes Good Manufacturing Practice by manufacturing quality drugs and setting quality assurance standards in Nigeria.
SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY: PMG-MAN contributes to government policy formulation and implementation and supports public sector activities. PMG-MAN also undertakes public enlightenment campaigns
