PHAMATEX Industries Limited was incorporated in Nigeria as a private limited company on the 29th day of July 2010, with a share capital base of N10, 000,000.00(Ten Million Naira only).
The company is situated at No. 1 Crystal Glass Close, (Marble House) Amuwo-Odofin, Industrial Estate Lagos, Nigeria – distance of about 20 km from the Muritala Mohammed International Airport. The premises sprawls over 5,931 sq. meters of fully landscaped property. It is surrounded on the East by a wrought iron company, on the West and South by a fish Company, and on the North by a perfumery.

The company is engaged in the manufacture, marketing, distribution and importation of drugs, foods, beverages and pharmaceutical products, livestock feed and livestock medicaments in Nigeria.

The company’s operations are also departmentalized into HUMAN RESOURCES/ADMINISTRATION, ACCOUNTS, AUDIT, SALES & MARKETING, PLANT MANUFACTURING OPERATIONS (WHICH INCLUDES, REGULATORY AFFAIRS, PRODUCTION, QUALITY, WAREHOUSING & LOGISTICS, ENGINEERING & UTILITIES, RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT, QUALITY CONTROL, QUALITY ASSURANCE), PROCUREMENT, SECURITY AND HEALTH & SAFETY.
Plant Manufacturing Operations
This division is headed by Pharm. Ezekiel Ibidapo. He is 57 years old, holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree of the University of Ife, Ile-Ife in 1980, and a Master of Science post graduate degree in Pharmaceutical Analysis (1984) also from the same University.He has held various positions within the pharmaceutical industry ranging from Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Production, Plant Administration, Regulatory Affairs, R&D, Business Development. He has over 37 years of work experience in both local and multinational pharmaceutical companies. Some of these include Ciba-Geigy Limited (Nigeria), Lagos, Bentos Pharmaceutical Products Ltd, Ibadan, May & Baker Nigeria Limited where he left as an Executive Director, Manufacturing Operations upon attaining the mandatory retirement age of 55. During his administration, he pioneered the commissioning and start-up of the cGMP May & Baker plant and guided it to became of one the first pharmaceutical plants in Nigeria to receive WHO GMP status. He joined Phamatex in September 2017. His roles include Plant administration, strategic planning, resource planning and oversight of all other units under plant operations.
The product department is headed by Pharm. Clifford Njoku. He holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree (B.Pharm) from University of Jos, Nigeria in 1991. He has been in active pharmaceutical manufacturing since 2005. He has good manufacturing experience , having worked in several pharmaceutical manufacturing companies such as Therapeutic Laboratories, Vitaphos laboratories, Oakfaith Pharmaceuticals Resources, Chris Ejik Pharmaceuticals. His activities cover the efficient and sanitary production of pharmaceutical products in accordance with GMP and covers the range of both solid and liquid preparations.
Mr. Ayodele Okegbenle heads the Quality Assurance department. He is 40 years old and holds a degree in Human Nutrition from the University of Ibadan (2000) and M.Sc in Biochemistry from the University of Lagos (2003) with more than 17 years experience in Analytical method development, analytical method validation and analysis. He ensures that the Quality system is maintained, evaluates all vendors and carries out internal audit of the system to ensure high quality standards are maintained. His work experience cuts across different organizations including Nigerian-German Chemicals, Lagos and Allied Techno Systems Limited, Lagos.
The Quality Control department is headed by Mr. Ariyo Olusegun. He holds a Bachelor degree in Pure and Applied chemistry from Ladoke Akintola University Of Technology, Ogbomosho, Oyo State with experience in Analytical development, analytical method validation and analytical chemistry.He ensures and certify the quality of products. His work experience cuts across different organisations which includes PZ industries, Mopson Pharmaceutical Ltd and Neimeth international Pharmaceutical Plc., all based in Lagos, Nigeria.
Regulatory Affairs Department
This department is headed by Pharm Innocent Ifeanyichukwu Nduka. He is 63 years old, holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree of the University of Nigeria Nsukka in 1983, a Superintendent Pharmacist/Regulatory Affairs Manager in the employment of the Company. He has enormous years of work experiences in
different organizations including Food & Pharmaceuticals Co. Ltd, Lagos; Therapeutic Laboratories Ltd, Lagos; Unique Pharmaceuticals Ltd, Sango Ota Ogun State and Juhel Parenteral Factory, Awka, Anambra State. His work experience is over 35years in Pharmacy practice.
Apart from general oversight functions on drugs administration, he is responsible for regulatory registrations both with National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) and the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN). He is the crucial link between the company, its products and regulatory authorities and interface with external bodies and agencies on healthcare and medicinal matters.
Warehousing and Logistics
The Warehouse Department is headed by Mr. Simeon Ibezimako. He is 42years old and holds a HND degree in Microbiology from the Institute of Management and Technology (IMT), Enugu in 2004 and Certificate of Proficiency in Inventory, Stores and Warehouse Management, Certificate of Proficiency in Logistics and Supply Chain Management. He has more than 12years experience in Inventory Management and Control, Logistics & Supply Chain Management including Production Planning. He ensures efficient Inventory Control and accuracy, timely delivery of goods to customers and logistics operations. His work experience includes Juneko Engineering Nig. Ltd, Lagos and Diversey West Africa Ltd, Lagos.
The company is part of the Phamatex Group of companies which comprises of Phamatex Industries Limited, Phamatex Nigeria Limited and Phamadeal Limited. All companies are active in different sectors of pharmaceutical business.
At present Phamatex is working towards obtaining WHO pre-qualification for some of their products and are also working in-hand with USP-PQM to obtain further certifications for qualification as international suppliers to United States based donor organizations. Within the African region, Phamatex Industries Limited has submitted for registration several products in Ivory Coast and will be audited in February 2019 in furtherance of this registration.
Pharm. Austine Otu is a Pharmacist and the Head of Sales and Marketing. He holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Kaduna. A seasoned professional with enormous years of working experiences spanning over 20 years and he is responsible for overseeing the activities of the marketing department. He is also responsible for effective distribution of the company’s products throughout Nigeria.
The Internal Audit department is manned by Mr. Adeyemi Okusanya. He is 47 years old and holds a B.Sc degree in Accountancy, from the Lagos State University (2002) and qualified as a chartered accountant in 2005 with more than ten years hands-on experience in internal control functions in various organizations, cutting across Knight Frank Estate Surveyors, Crown Flour Mills etc. This department is responsible for ensuring that standardized internal control mechanisms are put in place to ensure that our operations are being carried out effectively and efficiently.The department is also responsible for advice on possible controls to be established in the company and monitoring of laid down rules and regulations of the company. The internal audit department also reviews the following activities of the company; cash and bank, receivables, investment, fixed assets, purchases and trade creditors.
Human Resources/Administration Department
This department is headed by Mr. Eric Azeh. He is 53 years old. He holds a B.A (Hons.) degree in History and Masters in Management Pshychology in 1992 and 1998 respectively and has enormous years of work experience cutting across different organizations, this includes Societe-Generale Bank, Rainbownet Telecoms, Enugu and Van Christen Consult, Pretoria, South Africa. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria and the Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered). He has more than 18 years of hands on experience as a HR practitioner, cutting across the Banking, Telecoms and the consulting industries. He has both international and local exposure.
