Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Group of Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (PMG-MAN); a sub sector of Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) represents all the manufacturers of pharmaceuticals and allied products in Nigeria, who collectively play key role in ensuring that Nigerians have timely access to affordable, safe and high quality medicies.
This group was inaugurated in 1983 by its founding fathers, led by the then chairman Otunba G. Olukoya and was launched by Minister of Health Prof. Olikoye Ransome Kuti on 24th October 1984 with 20 foundation member companies. Today the number is over 120 companies. PMG-MAN is affiliated to the West African Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association (WAPMA) and the Federation of African Pharmaceutical Manufacturer’s Assciation (FAPMA).
Dr. Fidelis Ayebae, the MD/CEO Fidson Healthcare Plc is the Chairman of the PMG-MAN and Mr. Frank Muonemeh is the Executive Secretary of PMG-MAN.

PMG-MAN's Work
PMG-MAN’s work is focused on these key areas:
- Promoting Current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP).
- Social Responsibility – Contributing to government policy formulation and implementation that supports public sector activities.
- Advocacy and Capacity building.
- Pharma Exhibition and Pharm Forum on Medicine security and National Self-sufficiency.
- Self-regulation that delivers added value to members.
- Providing support for stakeholders and promoting a balanced policy environment – that enables attainment of Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) essentially good health and well-being.
- Public enlightenment campaigns and public health outreach.
Aims and Objectives
- Promoting the manufacture of high quality finished medical products and raw materials with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
- Improving the standard of Pharmaceutical Manufacturing in Nigeria.
- Creating a forum for interaction and partnership between PMG-MAN and organizations focused on increasing access to healthcare.
- Promoting and influencing health and medicines policy in various relevant areas, including regulation, trade and other strategic areas.
- Developing and promoting the Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Sector towards contributing to economy as well as other areas of National Development.

Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Group of Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (PMG-MAN); an arm of Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN), is the umbrella Organisation of over one hundred and twenty Manufacturers and allied products in Nigeria, who collectively play a key role in ensuring that Nigerians have timely access to affordable, safe and high-quality medicines. PMG-MAN was inaugurated in 1983 and was launched by the Federal Minister of Health on 24th October 1984 with twenty (20) foundation members. PMG-MAN is affiliated with West African Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association (WAPMA) and Federal of African Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association (FAPMA).
