Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Kaduna State Government on Public Private Partnership

PMG-MAN member Companies on the 7th of October, 2021 signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Kaduna State Government led by the Honorable Commissioner for Health. Dr. Amina Mohammed Balomi, in the Company of the Executive Secretary of Kaduna State Drug and Consumable Management Agency, the Director Kaduna Investment Promotion Agency. The PMG-MAN team was led by the Chairman, Dr. Fidelis Ayebae the CEO/MD Fidson Healthcare Plc in the company of other member CEOs.

This is the second leg of the signing of the MoU on Public Private Partnership to strengthen the Drug Supply-Chain of Kaduna State Government to ensure effective access to medicine to the nook and crannies of Kaduna State. The first signing was done on 23rd September in Kaduna at the KADINVEST 6.0 Conference, where PMG-MAN was specially invited by the Governor -Nasir Elrufai, where the Executive Secretary of PMG-MAN – Pharm Frank Muonemeh, led the PMG-MAN team to represent the Management.

This was followed by a facility tour to Fidson Healthcare Plc. at Sango Ota, Ogun State in the company of other PMG-MAN CEO’s; MD/CEO Juhel Pharma- Dr. Ifeanyi Okoli, MD/CEO Nemel Pharma- Prince Nnaemeka Ugwu, MD/CEO Orfema- Prince Degun Agboade, MD/CEO Bond Pharma- Mr. Aderemi Omotosho. The Honorable Commissioner for Health Ekiti State, Dr. Oyebanji Filani was also in the company of the team to share in the experience as Ekiti State government prepares to partner with PMG-MAN to strengthen their state Drug supply-chain, following the passing into law of the bill establishing the Drug Management Agency in the State.

Africa Resource Center- ESM team the facilitators of the Public Private Partnership, led by the CEO, Azuka Okeke was also present to broker the meetings, whilst the Bill and Melinda Foundation (BMGF) the donor team behind the project were also present to witness the signing.
